On Friday October 27th we held a range of Active Halloween events in our school which not only got the heartrates elevated but got us in the Hallowe’en spirit too. The girls from Junior and Senior Infants & Room 17 embarked on a Sponsored Witches Walk through the streets of Swords, with all money raised going towards the purchase of new P.E. equipment for our school.
Our whole school community came together in the yard, to partake in a Flashmob to the theme tune of ‘The Addams Family’. With lots of ‘Wednesday Addams’ spotted about it was great fun to snap and shuffle along to.
The 6th class pupils, led by some of our Active Committee leaders also set up a range of Hallowe’en themed activities and games in the hall for all classes to participate in. The girls did a tremendous job showing their true leadership capacities on the day.
Our Active Hallowe’en Walkway was also launched in the lead up to the day with all classes partaking in a range of themed activities from monster walks to zombie shuffles there was lots of activity about.
